İŞKUR Delegation Visits Azerbaijan State Employment Agency
Within the scope of action plan signed between the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the 11th Joint Standing Committee Meeting held in Baku on May 30, 2024, İŞKUR Delegation paid a working visit to Azerbaijan’s State Employment Agency (SEA) between May 21 and 23,2025.
On the first day of the visit, İŞKUR Delegation consisting of Mustafa Işık -the Deputy Director of General, Mehmet Altun –the Head of Department of Foreign Relations and Project, Özkan Bolat – the Head of Department of Employment Services and Mehmet Mustafa Genel – Employment Expert met with Sadık Aliyev – the Chairman of the Board of State Employment Agency - and the top management of the Agency.
Mr. Işık, Deputy Director General made the opening speech of the meeting. He mentioned the appreciation of ongoing cooperation for years within the scope of the activities of the Joint Permanent Commission between the Ministries of two sister countries. He also emphasised the importance of studies on increasing the experience exchange between İŞKUR and SEA to implement new practices and projects on employment in the forthcoming period. Following the opening speeches, SEA authorities made a presentation about the services carried out at general and local levels.
On the second day of the visit, the delegation held a meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and shared experiences on vocational training activities for young individuals. After the meeting, the delegation visited the DOST Agency, which was established within the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and provides all the services of the Ministry under a single roof, and the service delivery process was observed on site.
After the visit to DOST Agency, İŞKUR delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Birol Akgün, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Baku and informed Ambassador Akgün about the cooperation activities between the Ministries. During the visit to the Embassy, consultations were also exchanged with the Labour Counsellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Fatih Bilal Alodalı on the activities of the Agency and relations with Azerbaijani counterpart agencies.
On the last day of the visit, the Head of Department of Employment Services Mr. Bolat and Employment Expert Mr. Genel gave a presentation to SEA officials on the new programmes implemented by İŞKUR for young individuals. Following the planning of the cooperation activities to be carried out between the agencies in the upcoming period, the working visit ended.
